Nativity Build 2019
Hello all,
My husband and I handmade this nativity scene together. We used wood paneling, an old wooden gift crate, a lot of hot glue, superglue and PVA glue.
We painted it with acrylic paints and antiquing medium, then sprayed with clear matt varnish.
We made a 'fence' out of coffee stirrers from a cafe. We used gravel effect flooring paper as the base.
Next I used silver embossing powder to heat emboss the star, glued it on, and then attached some battery powered miniature fairy lights on using double sided sticky tape.
Finally we cut up some coconut hide into smaller strands, made some scenic glue with mod podge, and glued the miniature 'straw' down onto the base.
Sawed some wood slices to make pedestals for the angel and shepherd to stand on in the corner, attaching these using matt medium gel.
The nativity figures were a shop bought set.
All in all lovely project well worth the effort and time! Please enjoy watching the video below and drop me a comment if you can!
