Soap Making!

Hello all, I've been hand making some luxury bars of soap! The cream coloured soap is shea butter and honey and the pink ones are shea butter, rose oil and rose petal - gorgeous smells. And all super moisturising and kind to skin. I also made a batch of orange and argan oil bars of soap. They smell lovely! Read on and follow my quick soap making method!

The moulds are in the shapes of the following; Pusheen the cat, Snoopy, his girlfriend Genevieve, hearts, and honeycomb with bee.

I also made a batch of orange and argan oil bars of soap, using dried orange slices and orange oil. My kitchen smelled lovely!!

All products and ingredients are available from Amazon and all good local supermarkets.

It was a really enjoyable process, and very rewarding! I absolutely loved making soap!

Here is my quick soap making method:

  1. Cut 500g of soap base into smaller squares
  2. Place into a glass heatproof jug into microwave and heat on full power in 30 second blasts
  3. Stir in-between heating until fully melted and liquefied - times will vary depending on ambient temperatures
  4. Add 5 drops of fragrance/essential oils of choice to give scent e.g rose/lavender oil
  5. Add your other ingredients e.g 1 tablespoon of rose petals/oats/lavender petals/honey/cocoa/coffee grounds
  6. Add half a teaspoon of your colourings e.g cosmetic grade mica pigments of any colour/cocoa/honey/coffee
  7. Mix well, and pour into moulds
  8. Spritz with 70% Alcohol to get rid of any surface air bubbles that form
  9. Leave covered to set overnight
  10. De-mould the next day and wrap the soaps in cling wrap to store and use/gift away whenever you like!
