Mood Board!
Hello my lovelies,
I've been working on a mental health mood board....its based on what is better known as a vision board or dream board.
A mood board literally is just a cork notice board filled with:
(1) positive quotes
(2) pictures
(3) goals/aims/objectives
(4) relapse indicators (signs that I'm feeling unwell and headed downhill)
(5) triggers
(6) lists of things that help me stay well
(7) coping strategies
(8) photos to help remind me of good times
(9) positive affirmations
(10) postcards
(11) weight loss tracker and weight aim
Having a mental health mood board motivates me as a person. On a down day when I'm struggling with my mental health and I feel like there is no way out, looking at my board reminds me NOT to quit, that there's ALWAYS a choice, always a "way out" and "don't quit".
A board helps me to discover what I want. When I'm cast adrift in stormy seas it's easy to forget what my life goals, aims and needs are.
Looking at the board makes me feel like I've achieved something. For example my weight loss target!
And now hubby has fitted my board with LED strip lights all around the frame, it's eye catching as well! Yay!
